My Natural Hair Journey

Two and half years have passed since I started my natural hair journey. As I look back, I am amazed at the progress of my hair growth; never has my hair grown with such consistency and without breakage.

Yesterday while sorting through family pictures, I came across a few pictures of me. In the spirit of the reflecting on the past year and moving forward, I’m sharing a few shots of my hair journey.

My beginnings!
Natural at the age of 6
Sporting a fro with dad. Age 14ish. Didn’t know what to do with my natural hair.
I wore lots of braids In the 90’s. Hubby and I were on a cruise in this pic.
6/2008 (Our 20th Wedding Anniversary) -For 10 years, I wore my hair short. A barber cut it and I texturized my hair at home.
May 2010 One month before the texturizer was cut from my ends.

I love Naptural85’s greek yogurt deep conditioner recipe. The treatment works well on skin too.

    That’s awesome you shared your natural journey through pictures. Almost 8 years natural you can see my transition in pics around the house but, never thought to share. Thanks for the share!

    I loved the pictures and comments on your natural hair journey. I think about changing to unnatural every now and then, but someone will see me and give me awesome compliments on my hair and ask questions about how did you get it like that,etc. I am again reminded of how wonderful it is to be natural and how I really love my hair.
