First Try at Marley Twists

Only after one view of Marley Twists on Curly Nikki, I just had to try them at least once. I have been desperately wanting to try them.

Yesterday I purchased hair from the local beauty supply store. Honestly, I thought I was done with hair extensions when I started my natural hair journey. Ha! Ha! Jokes on me… I didn’t know what I didn’t know… Marley Twists! <em

For about a month, I studied this video, so I readily ran upstairs to give it a try.

My plan was to try one twist. Once I felt comfortable, the plan was to twist my hair over the weekend. Lol! I did say “plan” right. Well… It was easy, so I ended up twisting my entire head in about 2 1/2 hours.

I started out with larger pieces but then went back and made the larger pieces smaller. It isn’t perfect but I felt comfortable enough to wear it up for work today. I have to say, I LOVE my Marley Twists!! Sorry no video tutorials, I still cannot stand my voice on video. But I do have pictures.

Oh, this is my first post from my iPad, so I apologize for any errors that you read before I correct. I am too excited not to share. Lol! Here are my pictures.

  Lol! Thanks Shawn! Before I could ever post a video, I would have to do 50 takes or more. In that amount of time, I could have written so much. 😉 However, I could think of videos as getting out of my comfort zone, so maybe. Working with the Marley Hair was fun and pretty simple.
